About

A worker-centered institution, starting in public.

The Job Seeker’s Union brings people together to promote fair hiring, fair work, and a stronger collective voice for workers.

Who it is for

The Union is open to all workers while prioritizing the needs, voices, and material interests of people currently seeking work. People move among employment, unemployment, underemployment, freelancing, retraining, and active job searching; the organization should remain useful across those changes.

What it does

Its center of gravity is campaigning, standards, public accountability, education, and collective advocacy. Practical resources support that mission, but the Union is not a conventional career-coaching service.

How it is starting

The organization is founder-led during its initial stage. Subscribers can contribute experiences, ideas, and campaign participation, but the website does not imply that formal membership or subscriber governance already exists.

The public action today is “Subscribe for updates,” not “Join.” Formal membership rules, dues, voting, chapters, and member accounts have not been created.

Status disclosure

The Job Seeker's Union is an advocacy organization. It is not a labor organization under the National Labor Relations Act, does not engage in collective bargaining, and does not represent employees in dealings with employers. It has no dues and no formal membership.
