Information only
Everything here, including the Get Hired steps and the accommodations guide, is general information. It is not legal, financial, medical, or employment advice, and it is not tailored to your situation. Laws and programs differ by state and change over time. Check the sources we link, and talk to a licensed professional or your state agency before you act on something that matters.
No guarantee of accuracy
We work to keep the content correct and current, but we do not promise that it is complete, up to date, or right for your circumstances. Examples of accommodations are examples, not entitlements. Whether you are entitled to anything depends on the law and the facts of your case.
No membership or representation
The Job Seeker’s Union is an advocacy organization. It is not a labor organization under the National Labor Relations Act, does not engage in collective bargaining, and does not represent employees in dealings with employers. It has no dues and no formal membership. Subscribing to the newsletter creates no membership, and reading the site or contacting us creates no attorney-client, advisory, or representation relationship.
Links to other sites
We link to outside sites because they are useful. We do not control them, and we are not responsible for what they say or do. A link is not an endorsement.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, to interfere with how it works, to probe or attack it, or to send automated or false signups. Do not subscribe an email address that is not yours.
Our content
The text, design, and brand on this site belong to the Job Seeker’s Union. You may quote short passages with credit and a link back, and you may link to any page. For anything beyond that, such as republishing a page or reusing the logo, ask us first. Third-party material, including the sources we link, belongs to its owners.
Limits on our liability
This site and its resources are free and provided as they are, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Job Seeker’s Union and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or harm that comes from using the site or relying on its content. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may apply to you only in part.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may change these terms or the site at any time. The date below shows the latest update. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms. Our privacy page explains how we handle your email address.
